What Meta opened to developers

In September 2026, Meta opened Muse to outside developers with a connector platform that lets businesses plug their services directly into Muse, Business Insider reported. Meta’s pitch to companies on its Muse Connector Platform page is to reach new customers and give existing ones more ways to use your product, by bringing it into the everyday tasks people ask Muse to help with.

Meta’s review process

Meta’s platform page lists three steps:

1. Describe your product. Tell Meta what your connector does and how people will use it.
2. Submit it for review. Meta says it reviews each connector “for functional, security, and legal requirements” and completes end-to-end testing.
3. Appear in the directory. Once approved, people can find your connector in Muse. Meta says its editors review connectors for featured placement.

Taking payments

Meta’s platform page says it has partnered with Stripe to make accepting payments easy with Link. On the consumer side, Stripe says Muse can check out wherever Link is accepted, and the person approves the total in the chat. See the Link by Stripe listing for its sources.

What Meta’s page doesn’t say yet

When we read it, Meta’s platform page didn’t say how long review takes, whether there’s a fee, or what technical format a connector uses. It also doesn’t publish a list of approved connectors. Check the page itself for anything newer.

Getting listed on Apps for Muse

Apps for Muse is an independent directory, separate from Meta’s. Being approved by Meta doesn’t add you here by itself, and nothing here can be bought.
